Unspoken - The Movie
Unspoken, based on the affects of bullying is a feature film that the Bashford Twins have written and developed for over three years. It is now Fully supported by the UK's leading bullying charity BeatBullying, who had nothing but praise for the feature length script. Since releasing the Promotional Trailer for Unspoken that they directed, they have had positive feedback and worldwide support including America's Campaigns 'The Trevor Project' and 'NOH8', New Zealand, Australia, Brazil and South Africa. Best Director Nomination This talented duo Kyle and Liam Bashford aged 23 have written and directed numerous short films, including ‘In the Mirror’ which earned them a nomination for Best Director Award at the Young Independent Film and TV Awards in 2009. There were over 60 entries for the Best Director Award and a BAFTA winning director personally watched all of them and nominated the Bashford Twins in the top 4. The Director was very impressed with their creative originality and how well they created an atmosphere in such a small amount of time. Kyle & Liam stated, "We are extremely proud that our work is being recognised by people in the film industry and it puts us a step further into achieving our goal."
In 2010, they directed the hard hitting phycological horror film 'Smiley'. This was nominated for Best British Horror award at the British Horror Film Festival and made its debut screening on the 30th October 2010.
Kyle and Liam are now based in London, working at the world famous Pinewood Film Studios. They have worked with Eastenders director Michael Owen Morris and also Nic Phillips, who has directed major TV shows including Eastenders and My Family on the project ‘Screen Acting – Close up’ which has been released worldwide by Fremantle Media.
Kyle & Liam are so determined to become the first ever twin directors to win an Oscar and BAFTA and are now building their status as directors. They are currently writing many of their own feature length scripts which they hope to make onto the big screen in the future.
